Requirements for participants

Participants of the competition can be Russian citizens who have a degree obtained in a foreign country (hereinafter "PhD") or foreign citizens who have a PhD degree that meets the requirements:

1. Experience in leading Russian and foreign Universities and/or leading Russian and foreign research organizations – at least 1 year (total)

2.the Age of the young scientist should not exceed the date of completion of the project:

• PhD – 35 years,
the
• PhD or holds a Ph. D. degree – 40 years.

3.Priority is given to young scientists who have received a PhD/doctorate in the last 3 years prior to the date of the announcement of the competition.

4. the Presence of at least three publications in journals indexed in databases WoS (JIF) or Scopus (SJR) 1, 2, 3 quartiles over the past three full years, including 1 article – in journals Q1/Q2 (database WoS/Scopus).

Step # 1. To examine the requirements for research and test conditions

1.    the Theme of the project should correspond to one of the announced specific scientific areas of the scientific laboratory/center of the ore, another structural unit of the ore, on the basis of which research will be conducted.

2.   the Project can be supported only if there is a scientific reserve. Under the scientific reserve refers to previously obtained results published in publications indexed in databases Web of Science/Scopus, other information confirming the qualification of the applicant. The availability of scientific reserve should be documented and/or appropriate links to Internet resources. The stated research should not be a repetition of scientific research.

3.   the Terms of the research provide for a mandatory personal presence in the ore.

4.   Mandatory results of scientific research are publications:

• at the end of the first year – at least one article in the direction of scientific research in the publications included in the first quartile of the journal indexed in the databases Scopus/Web of Science; at least 2 articles in the direction of scientific research at least the second quartile of the journal indexed in the databases Scopus/Web of Science;
• at the end of the second year – at least one article in the direction of scientific research in the publications included in the first quartile of the journal indexed in the databases of Scopus/Web of Science; at least two articles in the direction of scientific research in publications not lower than the second quartile of the journal indexed in the databases of Scopus/Web of Science.

5.   When conducting a scientific study, a young scientist should popularize the results of scientific research in the form of reports at prestigious international conferences, seminars held outside the Russian Federation, as well as using various formats of external international media.

6.   the young scientist is personally responsible For achieving the results of scientific research provided for by the employment contract.

Step # 2. Prepare an application for participation in the competition

In Russian and English for Russian citizens or in English for foreign candidates.

If the individual documents in the application for participation in the competition are made in other languages, then these documents may be submitted in the tender application, provided that they will be accompanied by a duly certified translation into Russian or English.

Required application documents for participation

• Form 1. “the Questionnaire of the participant of competition”;
• Form 2. «Scientific, innovative project»
• Consent to the processing of personal data;
• Review of supervisor from previous place of work or training with indication of contact details;
• Feedback from recognized experts in this field of science, not less than two people with their contact details;
• Applications (at the discretion of the applicant; may include incentives, diplomas and awards, certificates of knowledge of languages and computer programs /Relevant Skills and Qualifications/, description of socially useful activities /Social Activity/ in which the candidate participated /volunteering and charity/);
• a Copy of the diploma of PhD in English and/or Russian or a translation into one of these languages (if any);
• passport Copy.

Step 3. Submit documents for review

up To may 27, 2019 the application documents for participation in the competition must send to the Department of science and innovation policy (UNIP) in printed and electronic form (in Russian/English in Word format and pdf) by e-mail: science@rudn.ru

Step 4. Wait for the decision of the Tender Committee

Results of the competition, winning projects, performers are announced by UNIP on the official website of the RUDN www.rudn.ru

Step # 5. To conclude an employment contract in case of victory

• the Young scientist-executor of the project who has received on a competitive basis financial support for implementation of the scientific, innovative project, is employed in RUDN.
• Remuneration is carried out in accordance with the Regulations on remuneration and other forms of material support for University employees. Subject to the performance of young scientists indicators of an effective contract it can be set incentive payment on the basis of the decision of the scientific and technical Council (NTS) on the proposal of the head of the unit, agreed with UNIP.
• the Purpose of the payment can take place quarterly. The amount of the allowance is determined in proportion to the results achieved, fixed in the contract.

RUDN:

• provides a workplace, the ability to access the existing experimental base of the ore for scientific research;
• provides funding for scientific research;
the
• if necessary, provides the young scientist accommodation in the campus of peoples ' friendship University, in Moscow;
• appoints the scientific project Manager from the research laboratory/center, another structural unit of the ore, on the basis of which the research will be conducted.
